🏃🏼 This morning’s run by the river. I’m slowly picking up my average pace at the 5km distance and it feels good.

💪🏼 So… a solid fifteen days of exercising and filling my Apple Fitness rings daily. I’ve lost a little weight, sleep much better and I’m finally catching up on all those TV shows I seemed to have missed recently. All thanks to the elliptical trainer in my building’s gym.
Can’t get too comfortable on the sofa, watching NHK. It’s time to head downstairs to the gym and move this flabby body about a bit. Slowly but surely, all this exercise is paying off…
🥶 Another day when it was just too nasty to exercise outside. So I popped down to the gym and watched ‘Squid Game’ season 2 on my iPad while on the elliptical machine. It made the time pass so quickly.
And definitely got my heart rate up!
💪🏼 Proof of gym
After heading out for a run yesterday and the day before, today’s cold weather has stopped me in my tracks. So instead, I’m going to head to our building’s gym in the basement and work out on the elliptical trainer. It’s still exercise, but will be warmer. Plus I can watch some Netflix on my iPad.
🏃🏼♂️ I’ve just been for my first run of 2025, which was tough as all hell. I’m definitely out of practice.
I wrapped up work a little early this afternoon and, instead of heading straight to the sofa with a drink and a snack, I went downstairs to our apartment building’s gym for a workout.
I’ve realised that as long as my ass doesn’t hit a comfy chair, I can keep going to get some exercise. If I sit down after work, for any length of time, I’m snookered. The sofa is too comfortable and enticing and there’s so much to read on the internet. 🤣
But if I can just make it to my bedroom and throw on my workout gear, I’m guaranteed a gym visit.
