đš Proofing slides for a workshop I’m running next month, while listening to some Nina Simone. What a fucking genius she was.
I just sat down and played piano for an hour…for the first time in months.
Time was, I’d spent entire afternoons lost in playing. I need to get back into it and just make the time for it, because it’s the most relaxing and enjoyable thing.
One month to go…
It’s obviously time to review all of this year’s Eurovision entries and I have to say, I’m loving đĢđˇ France, đĒđ¸ Spain and đŽđš Italy so far.
We’re definitely not having a Eurovision party this year, but holding out a hope that one of our neighbours will pick up the baton.

During a career that spanned seven decades, the crooner sold millions of records and won 20 Grammys, including a lifetime achievement award.
I was lucky enough to see him perform live at the Royal Albert Hall many years ago and was blown away by his energy and his sense of humour. He was a giant of popular music.
